But often we forget the significance of what we have been saved from and our guaranteed future. The Gospel — the saving of our souls — is not something thriving believers move on from, but ra the r something we move deeper into. That’s why we need to preach the Gospel to ourselves every day. What is Charis Fellowship Conference? Char is Fellowship Conference, previously known as Access Conference, is a three-day ga the ring of pastors, min is try leaders, and lay people for the purpose of studying the Bible, fellowshipping with o the r believers, and equipping for min is try. During main sessions we will engage in musical worship and receive biblical insight and instruction from Char is Fellowship pastors that will refocus our hearts on Jesus and what He did for us. Workshops will dig deeper into the Gospel message while providing practical ways we can take that message to those around us, including several min is try-specific d is cussions in areas such as worship, women, kids, and families. Josh is a graduate of both Grace College and Grace Theological Seminary. He is passionate about seeing people grow to delight in Christ, know His Word, and spread His Gospel to the ends of the earth. Knute Larson Consultant & Coach with Assist Church Expansion Knute has served as a consultant and coach for pastors and churches for 11 years. Prior to that he pastored at two churches for 43 years. He is a published author of three books and two commentaries. He and his wife, Jeanine, have two children and three grandchildren. Florent Varak Director of the Church Equipping Network at Encompass World Partners Florent has served as the director of the Church Equipping Network at Encompass World Partners since 2015. Prior to that he pastored the Charis church in Lyon, France, for 25 years. He has written books and articles on apologetics, ministry, and theology. In his current role he leads the Encompass staff involved in equipping across the globe, teaches in different Bible institutes and seminaries, and advises the Charis Alliance on training whenever required. He and his wife, Lori, have three adult children. Timothy Clothier Senior Pastor at Waynesboro Grace Church in Waynesboro, Pa. Timothy has served as senior pastor of Waynesboro Grace Church for almost ten years. He is a published author ( To Each is Given), Charis Symposium contributor, and nearing the completion of a DMin. degree in pastoral leadership from Grace Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Carrie, have been married over eighteen years and have four children. Dan Allan Charis Fellowship Executive Director Dan has served as the Charis Fellowship executive director since July 2023. He is a graduate of Grace College & Seminary and served at Ashland Grace Church in Ashland, Ohio, as lead pastor and pastor of ministry development. Dan has been married to his wife, Holly, for 43 years and they have two children and four grandchildren. Zac Hess Lead Pastor at Grace Polaris Church in Westerville, Ohio Zac has served as lead pastor of Grace Polaris Church in Westerville, Ohio, since February 2023. Prior to that he served as the training pastor at Grace Polaris for 10 years, overseeing training courses, ministry internships, and pastoral residencies. Zac has been married to his wife, Sarah, for 13 years and together they have four children. Why should I attend Charis Fellowship Conference? Symposium contributors will frame the discussion, consider leadership examples from both Testaments, define key terms (e.g., pastor, elder, deacon, preaching), explore the intersection between gender and gifting, and draw from our Fellowship’s history of church leadership. By the end of the Symposium, you will have access to a collection of theologically-grounded papers written and read by Charis Fellowship members.
